ARMI is seeking an experienced Contracts Attorney. The individual in this role will be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, federal grant awards, and other legal documents in support of the organization's mission.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Drafting and reviewing contracts, including federal awards, grants, service agreements, material transfer agreements, leases, nondisclosure agreements, and other legal documents;</li>
<li>Negotiating contract terms with members, clients, vendors, and other parties;</li>
<li>Providing legal advice on contract interpretation and obligations;</li>
<li>Collaborating with our compliance and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, federal guidance, and grant requirements; includes updating contractual policies and procedures as needed;</li>
<li>Identifying and mitigating potential legal risks within contractual agreements;</li>
<li>Maintaining and securing organized records of executed contracts and related legal documents;</li>
<li>Collaborating with other departments to gather necessary information for contract development;</li>
<li>Working with outside counsel to resolve any contract-related disputes or issues; and</li>
<li>Conducting legal research to support contract negotiations and development;</li>
<li>Develop internal policies and providing training to technical and support teams on the applicable legal elements of said policies;</li>

Required Qualifications &amp; Skills
<ul>
<li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school;</li>
<li>Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction;</li>
<li>3-5 years of experience as a Contracts Attorney or in a related legal position;</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously, with excellent timeliness and effective communication with all relevant stakeholders;</li>
<li>Advanced understanding of contract law and commercial terms;</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;</li>
<li>Experience in corporate law or a similar field;</li>
<li>Experience with intellectual property law;</li>
<li>Exceptional negotiation and communication skills;</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and solutions;</li>
<li>Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to drafting and reviewing documents;</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, team environment consisting of internal and external partners;</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships at all levels of an organization;</li>
<li>Proficiency in legal research and writing;</li>
<li>Experience with biotechnology / health technology contract regulations and standards (preferred);</li>
<li>Undergraduate degree in biotechnology; biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, control systems, or other related technology (preferred);</li>
