Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Oversee computerized parts catalog system and maintains a running inventory of regular and special-order parts and supplies.</li>
<li>Dispenses parts to service mechanics.</li>
<li>Identifies optimum sources for replacement parts and assemblies.</li>
<li>Purchases standard items.</li>
<li>Receives and inspects incoming shipments for correct quantity and quality of materials.</li>

Parts Counter Specialist

Job Description
The Lead Diesel Mechanic&nbsp;will work collaboratively to inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of vehicles, including tow trucks, wreckers, and commercial vehicles with diesel engines. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of vehicle repair, from routine servicing to computer-aided diagnostics and air brake repairs. The Lead Diesel Mechanic will also be a working shop foreman, mentoring team members, and training.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Conduct diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles and replace components as necessary, including the engine, transmission, steering mechanism, and braking system.</li>
<li>Develop comprehensive work plans after fully diagnosing vehicle issues.</li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers.</li>

Qualifications:

<li>High school diploma or GED and certification and training in diesel engine repair.</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of vehicles, their electrical systems, and the mechanisms of gas and diesel engines.</li>
<li>Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software.</li>
<li>Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics.</li>
<li>Good interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.</li>
<li>Having prior leadership experience, and able to mentor others.</li>
<li>A valid driver’s license.</li>
