<li> Gathers equipment and materials for the job. </li>
<li> Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes.</li>
<li> Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps; cuts or bores holes prior to project. </li>
<li> Installs various types of insulation and pipe covering; safely removes and properly discards of old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and in accordance with EPA and OSHA requirements.</li>
<li> Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and/or resolves problems.</li>
<li> Coordinates with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.</li>
<li> Complies with applicable safety and building codes, regulations and best practices.</li>
<li> Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.</li>
<li> Performs other related duties as assigned. </li>
</ul>
 
 
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Successful completion of a four-year apprenticeship that included classroom and on-the-job instruction in pipefitting or related field.</li>
<li>Required state licenses</li>
<li>Ability to read schematics and blueprints. </li>
<li> Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches. </li>
<li>Prior commercial experience</li>
<li>Excellent customer service and communication skills</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills</li>
<li>Must be able to lift, push, and pull in excess of 50 pounds</li>
<li>OSHA Certified</li>
<li>NFPA 51b Hot Works Certified </li>
