Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to support K-12 students across locations in Hollis and Brookline, NH. This full-semester contract position requires servicing a caseload that includes all grade levels, providing specialized instruction and support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational services to K-12 students with hearing impairments.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide onsite services between the Brookline and Hollis school sites.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with families, educators, and related service providers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active licensure and certification for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in New Hampshire.
- Proven school-based experience working with this population.
- Ability to manage and provide services across multiple sites.
- Completion of district fingerprinting requirements.
- Availability for an onsite schedule, averaging 10-12 hours per month.
- Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview as part of the selection process.
Contract Details:
- Part-time position with an estimated 10-12 hours per month.
- Contract duration from immediate start date through June 17, 2026.
- Location to be determined between Hollis and Brookline, NH schools.
