A school seeking a dedicated Middle School Counselor for the current school year (CSY) contract in Nashua, NH is looking to fill an important role supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with middle school students, parents, and staff to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to middle school students to address academic challenges, social skills, and personal issues.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for student success and well-being.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and support services as needed.
- Assist students in developing career awareness and academic planning.
- Maintain accurate records and ply with school and district counseling policies.
- Participate in student assessment, referral processes, and staff meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Counselor.
- Experience working with middle school-aged students.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of counseling techniques and student support resources.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Familiarity with crisis management and intervention strategies.
