Job Description

Summary:

The Schedule Coordinator supports the daily operations of a busy Orthopedics office by managing all aspects of surgical scheduling. This includes coordinating pre-op and post-op processes, verifying documentation, scheduling clearances, and communicating with providers, patients, hospital departments, vendors, and ancillary services to ensure procedures are completed accurately and on time. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, insurance authorization knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)
1+ year experience in medical office or surgical scheduling (required)
Knowledge of medical terminology, orthopedic procedures, and insurance authorization (required)
Strong organizational and communication skills (required)
Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office (required)
Post-secondary education in healthcare administration or medical assisting (highly preferred)
BLS (AHA) certification (required)

Shift: Days (8:00 am - 5:00 pm)
