Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated K-12 support within a virtual framework, serving students in Claremont, NH. This contract assignment runs from ASAP through June 12, 2026 (tentative), offering up to 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using NHSEIS, the states designated system for IEP management, evaluations, and case tracking.
- Collaborate remotely with teachers, parents, and service providers via online platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and district-specific tools through iLearnNH.
- Utilize data and behavior tracking tools like Panorama or internal district systems to assess and monitor student progress.
- Apply knowledge of New Hampshire special education laws, including IDEA and state regulations, ensuring compliance within virtual service delivery.
- Assess students behavioral and affective needs, providing individualized and group positive behavioral supports.
- Conduct observational assessments and prepare detailed reports on student learning behaviors.
- Effectively collaborate with school administrators, colleagues, central office staff, families, and community members.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
Qualifications:
- Must meet all New Hampshire state certification requirements for special education.
- Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual case manager or special education teacher is required.
- Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and behavior support strategies.
