Job Title: CNC Operator

Duration: 5+ Months Contract

Location: Milford, NH 03055

Shift Details: Mon-Fri 2:30pm-10:30pm

Pay Rate: $20-$28 based on experience plus 15% shift differential

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for producing machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while maintaining quality and safety standards. Experience with Citizens Swiss CNC machines is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load raw materials and unloads completed parts
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously
  • Perform inspection of own parts and co-worker’s work
  • Follow instructions when selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures
  • Use measurement tools i.e. snap gage, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and other measuring instruments
  • Adjust tooling & work offsets
  • Perform minor editing of current program
  • Run select machines in department
  • Make adjustments to assure dimensions, tolerances and quality of parts meet specifications
  • Utilize QMS, MAX & SPC databases as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including top-off lubricants
  • Clean equipment and work area, including chip removal
  • Follow established procedures as well as quality and safety standards
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Work under supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Good working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, basic math and measuring instruments
  • Basic understanding of G&M programming codes
  • Good understanding of machining practices
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Motivated and shows willingness to learn
  • Team player who works in cooperation with others
  • Able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude
  • HS Degree or GED
  • 1+ years of machining experience preferred or a recent certificate in precision machining or related field

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull
  • Frequently required to use repetitive wrist and hand movements
  • May be required to push, pull and use assisted lift objects of up to 50 pounds
  • Hearing, seeing ability to include depth perception, peripheral vision and rapid mental coordination
