Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Merrimack, NH is seeking Special Education Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. These contract roles begin ASAP and continue through May 2026, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting students with diverse needs.
Positions Available:
- Two High School Emotional Support Program teachers
- One teacher for Push-in/Pull-out instruction in core subjects
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting curriculum to accommodate mild to severe disabilities, and supporting students with emotional disabilities. Candidates should be prepared to address a range of behavioral challenges and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students exhibiting emotional disabilities preferred
- Ability to deliver both inclusive push-in support and specialized pull-out instruction
- Strong classroom management skills and flexibility adapting to varied behaviors
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and positive learning environment for all learners
