Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher serving students in middle and high school grades, located in Derry, NH. This role is designed to provide essential support as a backfill from December 15, 2025, through June 16, 2026, within a K-12 educational setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and complying with state and federal special education regulations.
- Participating in meetings with parents, staff, and administration to support student learning outcomes.
Qualifications and experience:
- An active New Hampshire Special Education teaching license is required.
- Proven experience working with middle and high school students in a special education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families.
- Ability to manage classroom environments and adapt educational materials for diverse learner needs.
Location and schedule:
- Position based onsite in Derry, NH.
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract duration from December 15, 2025, through June 16, 2026.
