Position Summary
As a Bathroom Wet Area Specialist, you’ll focus on the installation and renovation of showers, tubs, and other waterproof areas. You’ll ensure each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This is a 1099 contractor position, ideal for professionals who value independence, flexibility, and consistent project flow.
Key Responsibilities
Wet Area Installation & Renovation:
- Install and replace showers, bathtubs, and related fixtures.
- Apply correct waterproofing methods using backer boards, membranes, and pans.
- Perform basic plumbing tasks such as adjusting drains and water lines.
Waterproofing & Sealing:
- Use approved moisture barriers and sealants to ensure leak-free, long-lasting results.
- Inspect all installations for accuracy, finish quality, and durability.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Complete all work to meet or exceed local building codes.
- Follow Five Star Bath Solutions’ craftsmanship standards for appearance and performance.
- Maintain a clean, safe job site at all times.
What You’ll Bring
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in bathroom remodeling or renovation.
- Proven expertise in wet area construction, tile setting, and waterproofing.
- Familiarity with modern remodeling materials and installation techniques.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of shower systems, wet area installations, flooring (LVP) installation.
- Ability to use construction tools efficiently and safely.
- Knowledge of plumbing basics related to bathroom renovations.
Contractor Requirements
- Reliable transportation and ownership of tools required for the job.
- Ability to work independently and manage project timelines.
- Dependable, organized, and committed to delivering professional results.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working on your feet, bending, or kneeling for extended periods.
- Capable of working in confined or small bathroom spaces.
