Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching position is available in Kingston, NH for the upcoming school year, serving middle and high school students. This 37.5-hour per week contract role focuses on supporting students with diverse learning needs within life skills classrooms. Candidates will have an opportunity to work with:
- Middle School students (6th-8th grades)
- High School students (9th-12th grades)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals and needs
- Create engaging, accessible lesson plans for life skills curricula
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records to inform instructional decisions
- Provide behavioral support and life skills coaching to promote independence
Desired Qualifications:
- State licensure or certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle or high school students in an educational setting, preferably in life skills or similar classrooms
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Patience, creativity, and dedication to student growth
