Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching position is available in Kingston, NH, serving middle and high school students in Life Skills classrooms. This contract opportunity offers a caseload working with students in grades 6 through 12, providing specialized instruction and support tailored to individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in Life Skills classrooms.
- Deliver differentiated instruction to accommodate varying learning abilities in both middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including parents and support staff, to ensure holistic student development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with middle and/or high school students in Life Skills or similar special education settings.
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload with dedication and professionalism.
Location:Kingston, New Hampshire
Schedule:Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
