About the Role:

The Shift Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store during their shift. This position is responsible for overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and ensuring that customer service standards are met consistently. The Shift Leader will also handle cash management tasks, including opening and closing procedures, to maintain financial integrity. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards in compliance with company policies. Ultimately, the Shift Leader's leadership and organizational skills will contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers and a productive work environment for employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a retail or fast food environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during shifts to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage cash handling procedures, including making cash drops and ensuring accurate register operations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Maintain inventory records and assist in order selection to ensure product availability.

Skills:

The required skills such as cashiering and cash handling procedures are essential for managing financial transactions accurately and efficiently. Fast food experience will aid in understanding the pace and demands of a retail environment, ensuring that customer service remains a priority. Knowledge of food safety and safety procedures is critical for maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.
