Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher serving students in grades K-12 in a New Hampshire school district. The position is a contract role with a tentative end date in June 2026, requiring up to 37.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience working virtually within New Hampshires special education system and be skilled in supporting diverse learners through individualized education programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) utilizing NHSEIS, the states special education data system.
  • Collaborate remotely with teachers, parents, and service providers using virtual platforms such as Canvas and Zoom.
  • Use data tools and behavior-tracking systems to monitor and support student progress.
  • Apply knowledge of federal and state special education laws, including IDEA, with attention to virtual service delivery compliance.
  • Support students with behavioral and affective disorders using positive behavioral interventions and supports.
  • Conduct student observations and prepare detailed reports on learning behaviors.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, administrators, central office, families, and community members.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Hampshire state certification for Special Education.
  • Prior experience as a virtual case manager or special education teacher within New Hampshire.
  • Strong familiarity with NHSEIS and virtual collaboration platforms.
  • Solid understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Ability to design and implement positive behavioral supports.

Location:

  • Based in Claremont, New Hampshire (serving the local school district).
