Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a high school level, serving 9th through 12th grades. This contract role focuses on addressing a range of academic needs for students within a charter school setting. The position requires dedication to specialized instruction, ensuring that students with diverse learning requirements receive tailored support to thrive in their academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special education needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to meet academic goals.
- Collaborate with general education staff to support student inclusion and success.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all regulatory and district guidelines.
- Provide direct instruction and interventions focused on academic achievement without behavioral management responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with high school students, ideally in grades 9-12.
- Strong knowledge of academic accommodations and modifications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative educational team.
Location:Kingston, New Hampshire.
Work Schedule:Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
