Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teaching position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school located in Salem, NH. This contract role offers an opportunity to work a full caseload supporting students in a special education setting with typical weekly hours ranging from 32 to 37.5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique learning needs within an elementary school environment.
- Provide classroom instruction and support that fosters inclusion and promotes academic progress for students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational approach.
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with state and district regulations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience working in school settings, specifically in special education, is required.
- Familiarity with elementary age students and special education methodologies.
- Ability to manage a full caseload effectively and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Relevant certification or licensure for special education teaching.
