Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students from grades K-12 in a virtual setting within a New Hampshire school district. This contract position runs through June 12, 2026, with up to 37.5 hours per week and a focus on delivering effective special education services remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) leveraging NHSEIS, the state's data system for case management and evaluations.
  • Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers using platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and iLearnNH.
  • Utilize data and behavior-tracking tools, including Panorama or district-specific systems, to monitor and support student progress.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of New Hampshire special education laws and regulations (IDEA and state rules) with attention to compliance in virtual instruction.
  • Conduct observations and prepare detailed reports on student learning behaviors and needs.
  • Provide positive behavioral support tailored to individual and group settings for students with behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Communicate effectively with administrators, colleagues, families, and community members to promote student success.

Qualifications:

  • Valid special education certification meeting all New Hampshire state requirements.
  • Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual case manager or in a special education teaching role within a virtual environment.
  • Strong understanding of instructional practices and behavioral support strategies for students with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Location: Claremont, New Hampshire (virtual delivery within the district)
