Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available for an experienced educator to support middle and high school students with diverse learning needs. This contract position offers the chance to serve students in Life Skills classrooms across two grade ranges, providing critical educational services tailored to their unique abilities.

Location:

  • Kingston, NH

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and manage a Life Skills classroom for either middle school students (6th-8th grade) or high school students (9th-12th grade)
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the specific needs of each student
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress through assessments and adapt instructional strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state educational guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students in Life Skills classrooms, preferably in middle or high school settings
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, best practices, and IEP development
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons that support student growth and success

Position Details:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract duration aligned with the current school year
  • Caseload options: Middle School (6th-8th grades) or High School (9th-12th grades), Life Skills classrooms
