Job Title: CNC Operator
Duration: 6 months (contract)
Location: Milford, NH 03055
Pay Rate: $20.00/Hr on W2 without benefits
Description:
Work Shifts: (Monday – Friday) 2:30pm to 10:30pm
Position Summary:
Entry level position responsible for producing machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine while maintaining quality and safety standards
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Load raw materials and unloads completed parts
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously
- Perform inspection of own parts and co-worker’s work
- Follow instructions when selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures
- Use measurement tools i.e. snap gage, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and other measuring instruments
- Adjust tooling & work offsets
- Perform minor editing of current program
- Run select machines in department
- Make adjustments to assure dimensions, tolerances and quality of parts meet specifications
- Utilize QMS, MAX & SPC data bases as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment including top-off lubricants
- Clean equipment and work area, including chip removal
- Follow established procedures as well as quality and safety standards
- Maintain safe work environment
- Work under supervision
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Special Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Good working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, basic math and measuring instruments
- Basic understanding of G&M programming codes
- Good understanding of machining practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Motivated and shows willingness to learn
- Team player who works in cooperation with others
- Able to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude
- HS Degree or GED
- 1+ years machining experience preferred or a recent certificate in precision machining or related field
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull
- Frequently required to use repetitive wrist and hand movements
- May be required to push, pull and use assisted lift objects of up to 50 pounds
- Hearing, seeing ability to include depth perception, peripheral vision and rapid mental coordination
