Common Man Roadside is hiring a Maintenance Technician!

The maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall safety and appearance of the properties. This position does require travel between the locations in a company vehicle.

Position Responsibilities:

• Snow removal and snow plowing
• Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, drywall, and ceilings
• Schedule and conduct regular interior and exterior facility inspections
• Identify needed improvements and create work orders for routine and repairs
• Mitigate hazards and promote a safety-oriented culture
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Basic Carpentry and Painting Skills
• Experience in trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of building automation systems
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to read and write repair orders
• Ability to provide positive customer service experience
• Ability to operate various hand and power tools
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
• Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
• Groundskeeping of lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance
• Interpersonal skills to interact with employees and/or customers.
• Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
• Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
