Family is looking for a DSP to support their 8-year-old son in the Manchester/Hooksett area. He’s a kind, creative, and caring boy with a passion for art. He loves doing arts and crafts, spending time with animals, solving puzzles and games, imaginative play, and being active outdoors. He also loves sharing funny videos and making people laugh. He sometimes needs a little support with social interactions, especially in groups, and reminders about personal space and boundaries. He has some health considerations such as epilepsy, ADHD, and dietary restrictions. Duties would include transportation, meal prep, help with daily routines like hygiene and getting dressed, keeping him safe, following his behavioral support plan, and providing structure and consistency. Hours would be Monday through Friday from 3:30–5:30 PM, with some flexibility for a part-time schedule. The family has pets, pays $17.12/hour, and is looking for someone to start ASAP.
Requirements:
- Access to reliable transportation and adequate car insurance.
- A clean background check is required prior to employment.
- Prior experience working for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work together with the client to complete organizational tasks.
- Ability to carry out individual service goals and communication goals.
All staff must adhere to the NH state law requiring mandated reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Additionally, staff are required to maintain criminal, motor vehicle and Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services record checks that meet agency standards. Staff are also required to travel and transport clients when applicable. This includes having access to a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license and maintaining personal auto insurance of $100,000/300,000.
