Virtual Multi-Categorical Special Education Specialist - Manchester Area

Program Overview This full-time role enpasses 37.5 hours per week, serving students from elementary through high school with emphasis on intensive support needs. Manage a diverse caseload of 40-50 students requiring individualized programming across multiple disability categories and support levels.
Primary Responsibilities

• Provide intensive virtual instruction for students with significant cognitive, behavioral, or multiple disabilities
• Develop sensory-rich virtual learning experiences adapted for diverse learning needs
• Implement positive behavior support plans through virtual coaching and family training
• Coordinate with related service providers including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech pathologists
• Support students in self-contained virtual programs and inclusion consultation
• Train and support families in implementing educational strategies at home
• Participate in prehensive evaluation processes and eligibility determinations

Student Support Categories Work with students requiring intensive support across categories including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, deaf-blindness, and other health impairments. Experience with augmentative munication systems and assistive technology integration highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education with multi-categorical endorsement
• Current New Hampshire special education teaching certificate
• Minimum 2 years of experience with intensive needs populations
• Training in positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS)
• Experience with assistive technology and augmentative munication
• Virtual service delivery experience preferred but not required
• Understanding of plex medical and educational needs
• Excellent collaboration and munication skills
