A full-time Behavior Technician or Paraprofessional position is available to support students in an elementary school setting within Southern New Hampshire. This contract role provides the opportunity to work closely with young learners and make a meaningful impact through behavioral support and individualized attention.
Location: Kingston, NH
Schedule: Full-time, approximately 32.5 hours per week
Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
Caseload:
- Morning and afternoon support for two students in grades Pre-K to 2nd (kindergarten and first grade); hours 7:50 AM 3:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
- Additional support at a charter school for two students, one aged 6 and the other 14; hours 8:00 AM 2:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges; behavioral experience is a mandatory requirement and must be clearly indicated on the resume.
- Ability to deliver direct behavioral interventions and support individualized educational plans.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families.
- Patience, adaptability, and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one behavioral support to designated students following established intervention plans.
- Monitor and document student progress and behavioral responses during sessions.
- Assist in creating a structured and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement consistent strategies.
