Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Project Manager job for our direct client. In this Project Manager job, you will plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure that project objectives are met in accordance with prescribed priorities, timing, and budget.
Project Manager job responsibilities:
- Determine project scope and objectives
- Prepare specifications, bid requests, cost estimates, and contracts for projects
- Develop detailed project schedules and cost estimates for implementation
- Track project costs to ensure alignment with budget
- Recommend make/buy decisions
- Provide technical guidance and oversee maintenance and subcontractor activities, assisting in problem resolution
- Direct and coordinate project activities through delegated subordinates or outside contractors to minimize production or operational delays
- Request assignment of personnel and coordinate schedules and activities with appropriate department managers
- Direct planning of equipment layout, installation, modifications, and contractor or maintenance activities
- Analyze existing mechanical systems to troubleshoot issues, improve operating efficiencies, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and improve reliability
- Provide technical direction to supply chain for negotiation of goods and services required for project delivery
- Provide consistent project updates to stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress
Project Manager job qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Plant Engineering or Facilities Engineering environment required
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and clean room operations
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification sheets
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Project
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
