Summary

Learning By The Lakes Academy is looking to hire a few energetic new team members to our growing classroom. The position of Lead Teacher includes fostering an environment to promote Learning By The Lakes Academy Inc’s core values of learning, passionate, creative, friendship and partnership; as well as the mission statement of Learning By The Lakes Academy Inc’s “to make learning creative, engaging and exciting for all children”. Lead teachers will prepare lesson plans that are engaging and interactive to the age group they are teaching. Speak with parents about their child’s day in a positive way. Must love children and having fun!!!

Duties

Essential Duties and Functions:
1.Create weekly age-appropriate lesson plans.
2.Planning of age-appropriate lesson plans for classroom in each of the following areas daily

• 1.Math
• 2.Science
• 3.Language Literacy
• 4.Writing
• 5.Art
• 6.Block
• 7.Library
• 8.Dramatic Play
• 9.Circle Time

3.Weekly newsletters - submitted a week in advance to your Center Director for approval and/ corrections

Requirements

Requirements:
Essential qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years of age; and
• High school diploma or GED
• Have at least 18 Credits (3 in Human Growth and Development) or a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA
• 1000 Hours in a licensed childcare program
• Positive Mindset
• Willing to jump in and help where needed
• Organization skills
• Happy and ready to serve the children and families of Learning By The Lakes Academy Inc
• Team player
• Attention to detail
• Must love children
• Willing to get on the floor and play with children
• Act ridiculous and have fun
• Strong written oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in collaborations with others
• Ability to solve problems and act quickly in a crisis

Physical Requirements
The demands of this job require the candidate to sit, stand, walk, bend, jump, reach and lift equipment and children up to 50 pounds. This position often requires the candidate to be outdoors, to crawl, balance, walk up and down stairs, run and dance.
