We are seeking a Garden Center Front-End Manager to join our team!

The garden center front-end manager plays a vital role in the daily operations of a garden center. This is a full-time positions, weekend and holidays shifts are required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Experience - Cultivate genuine, lasting connections by engaging customers and providing prompt, friendly and efficient service.
• Supervise Cashiers - Manage a team of cashiers, overseeing activities, performance, training, scheduling, and hiring.
• Transaction Management -Oversee all transactions, ensuring accuracy and suggestions for procedure improvements and how to implement, as well as addressing customer inquiries and resolve complaints effectively.
• Front-End Operations -Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, including managing presentation of products on promotional displays at the front-end.
• Inventory Management -Monitor stock levels of garden products and supplies, coordinate with buyer to replenish stock and collaborate with merchandizer for fresh and timely displays.
• Sales and Promotions -Assist in implementing sales strategies to drive store revenue and train staff on current promotions and timely tips for product use.

Qualifications:

• Leadership Skills -exceptional communication skills, professional presence and collaborative spirit. 2-3 years of management and experience fostering engaged, high-performing teams in retail setting.
• Horticultural Background -basic plant and gardening knowledge with desire to continually learn and self-educate on all garden center related product.
• Proficiency in Point of Sale systems -and proficiency in basic computer applications, ability to run front-end computers efficiently and problem solve
• Ability to multi-task -in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be on your feet all day -may requiring lifting up to 50# and be active for an 8+ hour shift.
• Availability -work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays and overtime during peak seasons.
