Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support middle and high school students in a Life Skills classroom setting. This contract role is suited for educators experienced in delivering tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
Location: Kingston, NH
Position Type: Full-time contract (37.5 hours per week)
Grade Levels:
- Middle School (6th-8th grades) Life Skills Classroom
- High School (9th-12th grades) Life Skills Classroom
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Deliver specialized instruction that addresses learning, social, and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including parents, counselors, and other educators.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal special education regulations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification.
- Experience working with middle and/or high school students in life skills programs.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to create supportive and adaptive learning environments.
