Summary
BVS, a Reggio-inspired Early Enrichment Center, is looking for an Infant teacher to join our wonderful team. Our program values the natural world, so candidates can expect to enjoy the outside time, natural items within the classroom, and a homey feeling to our center. We can serve up to 74 children and value our partnerships with both our families and the community.
Our Infant program runs from 7:00 am-4:30 pm. We are looking for someone to help foster a child-centered curriculum, model appropriate interactions and caring relationships, and support children in growing and thriving. The ideal candidate will have an interest in child development and be able to become Lead Teacher qualified according to NH Child Care Licensing Standards. They should also respect and understand that families play a critical role in our program and value a nature-inspired philosophy.
Our Lead Teachers will collaborate with the team and the Director to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assist in activities that enhance the overall care and quality of education and assisting the team in implementing a quality educational program and developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, observing and documenting children's interests and progress, and relaying that information to parents and staff.
Duties
- Assist in implementing curriculum activities and encourage children's participation.
- Actively engage in activities and manage the cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure a smooth daily transition from home to the child care center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- CDA, Associate's Degree or Equivalent, and Lead Teacher Qualified in the state of NH
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience
- High energy
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to become an Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening.
