Equipment Maintenance Manager
Location: Manchester, NH
Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000/year (based on experience)
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Equipment Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations and ensure maximum uptime of all manufacturing equipment. This position holds full ownership of preventive maintenance, repair scheduling, and reliability improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, proven leadership experience, and a continuous improvement mindset to optimize equipment performance and overall plant efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth operation of all production and facility equipment, minimizing downtime and unplanned outages.
- Supervise and lead maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Schedule and conduct regular equipment inspections to identify and address potential issues early.
- Manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
- Track, document, and analyze maintenance performance metrics and repair histories.
- Oversee all equipment repairs to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers for upgrades, spare parts, and service contracts.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance or repair work.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff in best practices, troubleshooting, and safety compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, performance, and energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and facility safety standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical equipment availability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or directed by leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Equipment Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar leadership role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS) and preventive maintenance planning.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred (not required).
