Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time paraprofessional position serving young students with specific behavioral needs in an elementary school setting. The role involves working closely with two different caseloads: prek to 2nd grade students and charter school students ranging from early elementary to early teens. The position requires experience in behavioral support and assistance.
Location: Kingston, NH
Schedule: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
Hours:
- PreK to 2nd grade caseload: 7:50 AM 3:00 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Charter school caseload: 8:00 AM 2:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct behavioral support and educational assistance to students aged 4 to 14
- Implementing behavior intervention strategies to support student success
- Collaborating with teaching staff and specialists to adapt instruction based on individual student needs
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions accordingly
- Maintaining a supportive and structured classroom environment
Qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience working with students requiring behavioral support (behavioral experience must be clearly noted on the resume)
- Ability to work effectively with young children and those with varying developmental needs
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Experience in a paraprofessional or behavioral technician role preferred
This is a contract position for the current school year. Candidates without documented behavioral experience will not be considered.
