A contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in virtual case management for students in grades K-12. This role supports a school district in New Hampshire, focusing on delivering high-quality special education services remotely. The position runs through June 12, 2026 (tentative) and offers up to 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) utilizing the states NHSEIS data system for case management and evaluations.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers using platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and other district-specific tools.
- Utilize data and behavior-tracking tools like Panorama to monitor and support student progress.
- Provide positive behavioral supports tailored to students with disabilities in both individual and group settings.
- Ensure compliance with New Hampshire special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and state rules.
- Conduct observations, prepare detailed reports on student learning behaviors, and participate in multidisciplinary collaboration with school staff, families, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Must meet all New Hampshire state certification requirements for special education.
- Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual case manager or special education teacher is required.
- Strong knowledge of NHSEIS and proficiency in virtual collaboration platforms.
- Understanding of federal and state special education regulations affecting virtual service delivery.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
