Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A special education teaching role is available in Claremont, NH, serving K-12 students on a contract basis through June 12, 2026. This position requires expertise in delivering virtual special education services within the New Hampshire educational system, including case management and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using NHSEIS, the states electronic data system for special education.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers using platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, or district-specific tools through iLearnNH.
- Utilize data tools and behavior-tracking systems like Panorama to evaluate and support student progress.
- Apply a thorough understanding of New Hampshire special education laws and regulations, including IDEA, ensuring virtual service delivery meets compliance standards.
- Support students with diverse abilities and behavioral needs through positive behavioral interventions and effective instructional strategies.
- Conduct observations, prepare detailed reports on student learning behaviors, and collaborate closely with school administrators, colleagues, families, and community members.
Qualifications:
- Current state certification meeting all New Hampshire requirements for special education teaching.
- Proven experience as a virtual special education case manager within New Hampshire schools.
- Strong knowledge of special education law, procedures, and virtual instructional models.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities in English.
- Ability to positively support students with behavioral and affective disorders individually and in group settings.
Location: Claremont, New Hampshire
Schedule: Up to 37.5 hours per week
