Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, specializing in commercial construction projects. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather relevant information for estimates.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to produce competitive bids.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and availability of materials.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and requirements as needed.
- Provide support during the bidding process and participate in negotiations with clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry.
- Strong understanding of general contracting processes and standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
