Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Middle School Counselor is needed for a contract position in Manchester, NH, for the current school year. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic, social, and emotional development during a critical stage in their growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students mental health and well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that address student needs.
- Assist students in developing coping skills, conflict resolution techniques, and academic goal-setting.
- Conduct assessments and maintain confidential records in pliance with school policies.
- Support crisis intervention efforts and connect students with munity resources as necessary.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid counseling certification and licensure appropriate for school counseling.
- Experience working with middle school-aged children in an educational setting.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, staff, and families.
- Knowledge of adolescent development and evidence-based counseling methods.
- Ability to work independently within a structured school environment.
