Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students in grades K-5 and 9-12 within a school setting in Nashua, NH. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), adapting curriculum materials, and collaborating with general education teachers to ensure all students receive appropriate accommodations and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs and create tailored learning plans to address specific disabilities
- Deliver instruction that meets diverse learning styles and promotes student engagement
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, counselors, and families
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation related to student assessments and services
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and independence
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students in grades K-5 and 9-12
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
