Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Foreman to join our team in Nashua, NH. As a Landscape Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing landscape projects, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, to a high standard, and within budget. You will lead a crew of landscapers, providing direction, training, and support to ensure all tasks are executed safely and professionally. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscaping, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, direct, and supervise a crew of landscapers to complete landscaping projects, including lawn care, planting, irrigation installation, hardscaping, and seasonal maintenance.

  • Manage daily operations on job sites, ensuring that work is done efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications.

  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and conduct regular maintenance checks.

  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met and provide recommendations or solutions when necessary.

  • Maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely completion of work within established cost parameters.

  • Train new crew members on proper techniques, safety protocols, and company standards.

  • Assist in the preparation of bids and estimates for projects.

  • Oversee the setup, use, and breakdown of equipment and materials for each job.

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise during a project, keeping clients and upper management informed.

  • Maintain a professional and positive relationship with customers, vendors, and other team members.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in landscaping or related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, plant care, irrigation systems, and hardscaping.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a crew effectively, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

  • Ability to operate landscaping machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

  • Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of local plants, soil, and climate in the New England area is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Landscaping certifications (e.g., Landscape Industry Certified Professional).

  • First Aid and CPR certifications.

  • Experience with estimating and project management software.
