Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A middle school is seeking a professional School Counselor to provide critical support to students during the current school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with young adolescents and foster their academic, social, and emotional development in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions addressing academic, social, and personal challenges faced by students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create effective intervention plans
- Support students social-emotional learning and conflict resolution skills
- Assist in crisis response and provide referrals to munity resources as needed
- Promote a positive school climate and student well-being through proactive outreach
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Counselor
- Experience working with middle school-aged children
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of adolescent development and counseling best practices
