Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A travel opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a Self-Contained Autism Program serving kindergarten through 3rd-grade students. This role is based in Suncook, NH, and involves working within a dynamic educational setting where each student receives individualized instruction tailored to their unique needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction to 5 students with varying levels of access and developmental progress.
- Implementing programming developed with task analysis and behavior tracking goals.
- Collaborating closely with school administration and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to ensure best practices are followed.
- Supervising and working in partnership with 1:1 paraprofessionals assigned to each student.
- Managing cases and maintaining detailed documentation on student progress and interventions.
- Adapting teaching strategies to meet individual student needs within the autism spectrum.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with a focus on autism or self-contained programs.
- Familiarity with case management responsibilities and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families.
