Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position in Claremont, NH offers the opportunity to serve as a Special Education Teacher supporting K-12 students through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. The role involves virtual case management and special education instruction with a focus on compliance with New Hampshire state regulations and effective virtual service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using NHSEIS, the state data system for case management and evaluations.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers using platforms such as Canvas and Zoom.
- Utilize data and behavior-tracking tools to assess and monitor student progress.
- Apply knowledge of special education laws including IDEA and state mandates to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide positive behavioral supports for students with disabilities in both group and individual settings.
- Conduct observations and prepare detailed reports on student learning behaviors.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, families, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold all required New Hampshire state certifications in special education.
- Prior experience as a virtual case manager or special education teacher within New Hampshire schools.
- Strong understanding of behavioral and affective disorders in students.
- Proficient with digital platforms for instruction and communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a virtual team environment.
Location: Claremont, New Hampshire (remote/virtual role with district engagement)
Schedule: Up to 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Immediate start through June 12, 2026 (tentative)
