Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract position is an opportunity to deliver specialized instruction and support to K-12 students with disabilities in a virtual special education setting based in Claremont, NH. The role focuses on managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and fostering positive behavioral outcomes in alignment with federal and state education regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, and monitor IEPs using the NHSEIS data system for case management and evaluations.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers utilizing platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and iLearnNH.
- Utilize data and behavior-tracking tools, including Panorama or district-specific systems, to monitor student progress.
- Apply knowledge of NH special education laws (IDEA and state rules) to ensure virtual service delivery compliance.
- Assess and support students with behavioral and affective disorders through positive behavioral interventions.
- Conduct observations and prepare documentation related to student learning behaviors.
- Work closely with administrators, school staff, families, and community members to support student success.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Current state certification meeting all New Hampshire requirements for special education.
- Prior experience as a virtual special education case manager in New Hampshire.
- Strong understanding of individual differences in ability, personality, and motivation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary and virtual environments.
Location: Claremont, New Hampshire (remote virtual instruction within the district)
Contract Duration: ASAP start through June 12, 2026 (tentative end date)
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
