Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Kingston, NH, serving middle and high school students with life skills needs. This contract position offers a chance to work in a supportive educational environment focused on delivering tailored instruction to students with diverse learning challenges.
Location:
- Kingston, New Hampshire
- Middle and High School settings within the district
Position Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract duration aligned with the current school year (CSY)
- Caseload includes:1) Life Skills Classroom for 6th8th grades2) Life Skills Classroom for 9th12th grades
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid special education certification for the relevant grade levels
- Experience working with middle and/or high school students in life skills programs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
