Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher to support elementary students during a leave of absence from February 10th, 2025, through June 16th, 2026. This contract role involves working onsite five days a week, totaling 35 hours per week, providing specialized instruction and services to students in an elementary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and provide accommodations.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with families and participate in team meetings to support student development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching license.
- Active general teaching license in New Hampshire.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite and maintain regular attendance.
Location: Sandown North Elementary School in the Derry, NH area.
