STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for an Orbital Welder to join our manufacturing team. Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor this position is responsible for the joining of metal components together using orbital weld techniques to fabricate precision welded and brazed tube assemblies for some of the largest aerospace companies in the world including Northrop Grumman, United Technologies, Rolls Royce and Lockheed Martin.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Orbital Welder to join our team in Laconia, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-precision orbital welding on various tubing systems and components in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate orbital welding systems according to procedures
- Perform automated orbital welds on various materials
- Assesses welds for conformance to visual and dimensional requirements.
- Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications
Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
