Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in Claremont, NH, this contract position offers an opportunity to serve as a Special Education Teacher in a K-12 school setting through June 12, 2026 (tentative). This role requires a highly skilled professional familiar with virtual and in-person special education practices within New Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) utilizing NHSEIS, the states data system for case management and evaluations.
  • Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers using platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and iLearnNH.
  • Use data tools and behavior-tracking systems like Panorama or district-specific platforms to monitor student progress.
  • Apply knowledge of special education laws and regulations (IDEA and state rules), adapting to virtual delivery compliance.
  • Provide positive behavioral supports tailored to students with disabilities in group and individual contexts.
  • Conduct behavioral observations and prepare detailed reports to support student learning.
  • Work closely with administrators, colleagues, families, and community members to foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold all required New Hampshire state certifications for special education.
  • Prior experience as a virtual case manager or special education teacher in New Hampshire is essential.
  • Strong understanding of instructional strategies and behavioral support principles for students with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to assess and support students with behavioral and affective disorders effectively.

Additional Information:

  • Up to 37.5 hours per week.
  • The role demands collaboration across various digital platforms and adherence to state and federal mandates.
  • Candidates must provide a completed SPED supervisor reference check and share interview availability.
