Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide virtual special education case management services for K-12 students. This contract position, based in Claremont, NH, offers an assignment through June 12, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using the NHSEIS state system.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers via platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and district-specific tools.
- Utilize data and behavior-tracking systems (e.g., Panorama) to monitor student progress.
- Apply knowledge of NH special education laws and regulations including IDEA, especially in virtual service delivery.
- Provide positive behavioral supports tailored to individual student needs.
- Conduct observations and prepare reports on student learning behaviors.
- Work effectively with school administrators, colleagues, families, and community members to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Must meet all New Hampshire state certification requirements for special education.
- Prior experience as a New Hampshire virtual case manager or special education teacher is required.
- Strong understanding of diverse student abilities, behavioral and affective disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a virtual environment and collaborate across multiple platforms.
