Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 Special Education Teacher position is available for a contracted school year term through June 12, 2026, located in Claremont, New Hampshire. This role involves up to 37.5 hours per week supporting students with disabilities in a virtual learning environment within a public school setting. The successful candidate will possess specific expertise in New Hampshire special education requirements and virtual case management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using NHSEIS, the states platform for special education data management.
- Collaborate virtually with teachers, parents, and service providers through district platforms such as Canvas and Zoom.
- Use behavior-tracking systems and data tools like Panorama to monitor and support student progress.
- Apply knowledge of federal IDEA law, state special education regulations, and virtual delivery compliance.
- Support students with behavioral and affective disorders by providing positive behavioral interventions in group and individual settings.
- Conduct observations and prepare clear reports on student learning behaviors and outcomes.
- Effectively collaborate with administrators, colleagues, families, and community partners.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and proficient written and verbal communication in English.
Required Qualifications:
- Holds all relevant New Hampshire state certifications for special education.
- Prior experience as a virtual special education case manager in New Hampshire.
- Deep understanding of NH special education law, virtual instruction challenges, and compliance needs.
