STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Quality Inspector to join the team. This position involves performing visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished goods to validate conformance to blueprints and instructions by customers, and to company operating procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Measures angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, threads, wall thickness, and other characteristics as stipulated on the inspection plan.

Tests units for fit of moving parts (i.e nuts and sleeves).

Verifies gauges and measuring instruments for conformance to calibration intervals.

Understands engineering drawings and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality requirements.

Inspects product at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, mechanical, electrical, or coatings (visual).

Identifies and reports changes to existing quality or production procedures to achieve optimum quality.

Validates conformance or identifies non-conformances and reports findings to engineering and management.

Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least one year of previous manufacturing/technical experience.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
