Job Description
Summary: The Quality Control (QC) Chemist is responsible for performing complex chemical and physical analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves method development and validation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing processes.
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

<li>Analytical Testing:
<ul>
<li>Perform complex chemical and physical analyses using advanced laboratory techniques and instrumentation.</li>
<li>Develop, validate, and implement new analytical methods as needed.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Data Analysis and Reporting:
<ul>
<li>Interpret analytical data to assess product quality and identify trends or anomalies.</li>
<li>Prepare detailed reports and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Method Development and Validation:
<ul>
<li>Develop and validate analytical methods to support new product development and process improvements.</li>
<li>Ensure methods are robust, reproducible, and compliant with industry standards.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
<ul>
<li>Investigate and resolve analytical issues, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results.</li>
<li>Collaborate with production and quality teams to implement corrective actions.</li>
</ul>

<li>Compliance and Documentation:
<ul>
<li>Ensure all laboratory activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and other regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and complete records of all analyses, calibrations, and maintenance activities.</li>

Location:
Must be commutable within 25 miles of Derry, NH. Local applicants considered only.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or a related field. Experience with microbiology is preferred. Four plus years of laboratory experience, including internships or academic lab work; or equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus. Basic understanding of chemical analysis techniques and laboratory equipment is also preferred.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Senior Chemist - Quality Control

JOB SUMMARY
The EM Microbiologist I conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis of pharmaceutical industries Environment according to FDA, ISO, cGMP and BA Sciences. Standard Operating Procedures. Duties will include Sampling of pharmaceutical industries through ISO standards and client specific test protocols.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Collects Environmental Monitoring Samples onsite and offsite at client manufacturing sites.
 Documents work in a clear and organized manner on the data sheets- follows GDP.
 Revises procedures and ELNs under close supervision.
 Follows all safety rules and regulations and conducts periodic safety audits.
 Follows all cGMP rules and regulations.
 Under close supervision confers with Microbiologists and other client personnel regarding research, procedures performed, related results and prepares reports.
 Under close supervision will be trained to become proficient at assigned tasks in order to become subject matter experts.
 Performs routine data generation and problem solving with a minimal rework.
 Works under close supervision to ensure all work performed is executed in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and the regulations of the Food and Drug Administration.
 Ensures all work performed strictly adheres to Company, client, ISO and Pharmacopeial methodologies.
 Performs system maintenance and calibrations to ensure equipment is operating with specified requirements.
 Proper handling of hazardous waste in compliance with the Company and DES hazardous waste rules.

REQUIREMENTS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications include a BA or BS degree in Microbiology or related science discipline with 0-2 years of related experience is required. Knowledge of cGMP and related compliance regulations and guidances is preferred. 
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
 Must have the ability and skill to perform the detailed job requirements noted above competently, safely and proficiently. 
 A self-starter, motivated person who possesses good interpersonal skills capable of effectively interacting with all departments and client personnel. 
 Must have excellent organizational, verbal communication and technical documentation skills. 
 Solid computer skills. 
 Knowledge of safe laboratory practices, including the proper procedures in handling chemicals and samples. 
 Must be a team player with integrity and concern for the quality of Company products, services and staff members.
