Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver expert patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a well-equipped hospital setting located in Salem, NH. This contract role offers the opportunity to apply your nursing skills in a dynamic environment focused on patient-centered care and teamwork.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid RN License required.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Proficiency in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing including head-to-toe assessments.
- Experience with orthopedic patient care.
- Skilled in IV medication administration, including management of Lasix, heparin drips, IV push metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin (IV or subQ).
- Competent in wound care with drain and VAC management.
- Knowledge of NGT/G tube care, parenteral nutrition.
- Central line management expertise: PICC, HD catheter, midlines.
- Skilled catheter care including Foley, nephrostomy, suprapubic.
- Ostomy and postoperative patient care experience.
- Ability to perform NGT procedures.
Shift and Scheduling:
- Every Other Week schedule preferred.
- 12-hour shifts.
Work Environment and Equipment:
- Unit features 48 beds with an average census of 27.
- Patient ratios approximately 1:5 days and 1:6 nights.
- State-of-the-art equipment including Hoyer lift, automated BP machines, bladder scanner, remote telemetry monitoring, and vein finder.
- Documentation via Altera/Allscripts Sunrise.
- Collaborative team with unit secretaries and patient care technicians supporting shift needs.
- Favorable floating policy within like units.
